Pillows + Photos

Photos by Caleb Charland (http://www.calebcharland.com/)
Pillows - I'd like to own them one day - all of them, they're so tacky.

Sto in Italia con i miei genitori. Yes, Italy is a country which matches up to its stereotypes. It always gives me some sort of bizarre inner satisfaction when some generalisation that I've come up with in my mind (or heard about) IS true. The weather is stunning, the food is delicious, yes, the good life - la dolce vita. However, I have seen thousands of Kappa tracksuits, fake 'n' bake boys, greasers and horribly mean, arrongant girls. Oh yeah, and loads of people that look like they're about to pop their clogs. Having said that, I love being at home.

It's been a long time...

Ja wohl, it's been a really long time since I wrote anything on here.
Since my last post, I have been skiing again - with the school I teach at. I did 5 hours of skiing a day, and have even successfully completed a red run. Unfortunately, spring has now sprung and the snow has all gone. I can't believe that there is no more snow around - Vienna really was a winter paradise.
I teach at the Goethegymnasium in the 13th District, and I am really enjoying myself. Everyone is really friendly, some of the kids overtly so, but nothing scary/terrible has happened, so I am content. Most of my days here are spent at fancy Kaffeehäuser, playing at being a 'lady of leisure'. There are so many gorgeous cafés around - Café Griensteidl, Café Central, Café Hawelka to name a few, each with their own cultural and historical importance. In short, I absolutely adore Vienna.
