This Year

This year (2011) has been incredible on so many levels. 


Highlights:
43 Warlters Close madness, surviving finals, graduating from UCL, Devon trip, Stockholm trip, Faliraki trip, my epic leaving party, Italian beach holiday, Vienna trip, getting accepted to study for a Masters at the University of Oxford with Ritchie Robertson...to name but a few.  

I have moved out of London to Oxford, which is rather surreal. I have started speaking in Oxford-lingo: terms such as Michaelmas term, battels, tutes and the Taylorian have become part of my everyday speech...

Biologist Mark Pagel shares an intriguing theory about why humans evolved our complex system of language. He suggests that language is a piece of "social technology" that allowed early human tribes to access a powerful new tool: cooperation.
