Czech Mate

Sto a Cesky Krumlov

Der farbige Turm

Cesky Krumlov - Böhmisch Krummau.

Day One of the Three Day Czech Adventure:

Wien Franz Joseph Bahnhof @ 06.22
Overheated non-Weasel train
Pen breaks mid note-taking / friendly snoring man offers me his pen
Arrive in Gmünd - shortest train for border crossing
Arrive Novy Velenice - suicidal coach driver
Arrive Ceske Budejovice: beautiful town square

Then... head to Cesky Krumlov.
Beautiful, but unfortunately rather touristy. Climb to the top of the castle hills for the best views of the town. Do not go into the 'Revolving Auditorium' for shelter when it starts raining - you will be interrupting a rehearsal and getting some rather sour looks. Do walk around the town, explore the residential areas. You will bump into the same people over and over again, which makes for rather awkward moments. Do leave enough time for the "Tortura Museum" and the "Wax Figure Museum". Take an umbrella.
